Human Dynamics team have been granted a non-cost time extension of 3 months for the project, “Support to Kosovo Institutions in the Field of Protection of Personal Data”. The project has been extended from the end of September 2016 to 13 December 2016.
The Project is currently working on changes in the law on data protection that will result in substantial changes in the organisational structure of the Data Protection Agency.
‘’Based on our recommendations, the National Assembly in Kosovo is preparing a portfolio of new data protection laws at a national level. I believe the extension granted to the project is approval for the good work we’re doing with our counterparts in Kosovo and it will help us to further support this important reform for Kosovo’’, said Martin Zlatev, the Junior Project Director.
The project began on the 14th January 2014 with an initial of implementation period of 24 months. This is the fourth consecutive addendum that has been signed on for the project by the EUD in Kosovo. A sure sign of the success the team has had in delivering results.
During the extension period, our Technical Assistance team will continue to deliver support for the implementation of certain activities under Component 5. These are aimed at assisting the beneficiaries in training to the administration departments in line ministries, to make use of the created NAPPD Intranet site.
The team will also continue to elaborate on deliverables under Activity 3.5. Awareness raising of data protection at governmental and assembly level.
Awareness raising is an ongoing commitment that our team has been successfully delivering on.
The team will also continue to deliver Activity 5.1: Design and Development of Intranet Site and Activity 5.4: IT-related training. Ensuring that the Intranet site meets the beneficiaries needs, as well as ensuring that all of the relevant staff are sufficiently trained to be able to take ownership and embed sustainable change.
