Within the context of supporting the public finance management process in the Central African Republic, which aims to optimize and restructure public finances by improving collection, management and control of resources, the project specific objectives are as follows:
• Building capacity at all key levels of public finance administration for better management of returns and improvement of expenditure practices;
• Long-term technical assistance to Directors of Taxation, Customs, Budget Divisions and General Financial Inspector. short-term specialized missions aiming at providing selective assistance during the first project year;
• Consolidation of activities regarding optimization of public finances, including the mobilization of civil servants and technical assistance for improving crisis management. establishing the institutional plan for optimization as well as introducing measures for enhancing returns.
