In order to fully prepare MTCT for the sound and efficient management of EU Cohesion and Structural Funds, under EDIS (Extended Decentralized Implementing System) requirements, the project’s specific objectives were:
• To support MTCT in the preparation of the Sector Operational Programme for the transport sector for the financing period 2007-2013;
• To support MTCT in the preparation of the institutional set-up for the actual management of the Transport Operational Programme.
The outputs were as follows:
1. Sectoral Operational Programme - Transport (SOP-T);
2. Detailed Programme Complement;
3. Efficient and operational institutional structure within MTCT, as well as in terms of working mechanism between MTCT and the various final beneficiaries;
4. Full cycle manuals of procedures.
