Support to the Reform of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia

The overall objective of the project was to support legal and administrative reforms in Georgia by promoting comprehensive internal public administration and management reform of the Ministry of Justice.

The specific objectives of the project were the following:
• Building policy-making and internal management (communication) capacity of the Ministry of Justice, concentrating on the following areas: Administrative Restructuring, External and Internal Communication and IT Policy;
• Financial management and human resources development, which focuses on: Human Resources Department Restructuring and Policy Development. Financial Management Reform, including result-oriented budget preparation. Capacity building of the Ministry of Justice Internal Audit Unit;
• Support to the Civil Registry Department, its main areas being: Legislative drafting (data protection, privacy). Development of Operational Procedures and Training of key managers (management) and staff (IT skills).
