The Main Objective of the project is to: Support the Government in the full implementation of the decentralisation process and specifically support central and local authorities including modernising the public administration by bringing it closer to EU standards The project purpose/specific objectives include:
• To improve the information, communication and service delivery to citizens in 36 selected municipalities;
• To strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Local Self-Government (MoLSG) and the municipalities for local development;
• To strengthen the capacity of the MoLSG and Association of Units of Local Self-Government (ZELS) for providing legal and technical support to the local government level.
