The Implementation and Management Support Office implemented specific activities designed to assist the European Commission to increase efficiency, effectiveness and visibility of assistance funded by the EC in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, to provide technical support to EC services to increase both the efficiency/effectiveness of assistance and to improve visibility of assistance funded through the EC in Uzbekistan.
The specific objectives included:
• Providing support in relation to the planning and programming of the Tacis/DCI programme (Country Strategy, Indicative Programmes, Action Programmes and Terms of Reference) and providing support to the planning and programming of other EC funded assistance to Uzbekistan;
• Providing support to the implementation of the Tacis/DCI programmes as well as support to the implementation of other EC funded activities;
• Further developing and implementing an information strategy for EC assistance in general in Uzbekistan.
