Technical Assistance for Strengthening the Institutional Capacities for Approximation and Implementation of Environmental Legislation in the Area of Water Management

The purpose of the project is strengthening the administrative capacity to implement legislation in water management with a focus on the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC.

The project will include assistance in:

• harmonisation of the implementing legislation in the area of water management,
• assessment and development plan for strengthening the administrative capacity to implement watermanagement legislation,
• implementation of the leading priority measures of the development plan as training plans, training,coordination mechanism for interinstitutional cooperation, stakeholders involvement, cross border cooperation,etc.,
• first steps for the development of Vardar River basin management plan according to the requirements of theWater Framework Directive.
