Project Description: 

The overall objective of this project of which this contract will be a part is to promote Kosovo's integration into the world economy and to develop and create the basis for a sustainable enabling environment for private sector development.

The purpose of the project is to assist Kosovo to build the institutional structures to enter negotiations on an EU Free Trade Agreement by supportmg the Ministry of Trade and Industry to develop its institutional capacity to prepare negotiating positions and to implement agreed policy initiatives in line with international trade requirements and EU practices.

Position: Key Expert 1 - Trade Policy Advisor and Team Leader

Duration of the assignment: 400 work days over 24 months

Requirements:

Qualifications and skills:

- A bachelor's degree (where a university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent institution) or IS years of relevant professional experience. A Master in business, political science, public administration,  economics or other relevant discipline (following the award of the degree) is an advantage

General professional experience:

- 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience

Specific professional experience:

- 5 to 10 years experience in leading teams in the public or private sector and in donor funded projects in one to three projects of similar complexity

- Specific experience in a trade development project in two to three countries covered by article 19 of IPA regulation (Council Regulation (EC) No 1085/2008 of 17 July 2006 establishing an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA)

 

Position: Key Expert 2 - Advisor in Trade Analysis

Duration of the assignment: 200 work days over 24 months

Requirements:

Qualifications and skills:

- A bachelor's degree (where a university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent institution) or 15 years of relevant professional experience. A Master in mathematics, statistics, economics or other relevant discipline (following the award of the degree) is an advantage

General professional experience:

- 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience

Specific professional experience:

- 5 to 10 years experience in working on development of quantitative models on trade or impact assessment of trade liberalisation

- Specific experience gained in at least two, but preferably three senior positions dealing with trade liberalization
