Improvement of Preschool Education in Serbia (IMPRES)
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to social inclusion and poverty reduction by improving preschool provision and broadening access for children, especially from disadvantaged groups.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the conditions of preschool education for children, especially those from vulnerable groups, through improvements in the quality of preschool programmes and expansion of the capacities of preschool institutions through:
- the development of the tool kit for local self-governments (LSGs) to systematically organise their preschoolnetworks, to optimise preschool capacity and increase access for vulnerable groups,
- the improvement of legislative framework for preschool education with special attention to vulnerable groups,
- the improvement of the access to preschool education for children, especially those from vulnerable groups,
- the improvement of the quality of preschool programmes to better respond to the needs of children, familiesand the local communities, with particular attention to vulnerable groups.
Position: Key expert 1 - Education Expert / Team Leader
Duration of the assignment: minimum 600 work days over 36 months
Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- University degree, preferably in education, economy or human resource development
General professional experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Team Leader experience in projects of a similar scope
- Minimum 3 years experience in managing projects as team leader funded within the framework of EU programmes
Specific professional experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in working with projects dealing with reform of education system
- Experience in working with policy makers on development of conditions of preschool education for children, especially those from vulnerable groups.
- Experience in the field of pre-school education and its reform in EU member states and countries of South East Europe would be an asset
Position: Key expert 2 - Early Childhood Education expert
Duration of the assignment: minimum 500 work days over 36 months
Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- University degree in education or human resource development
General professional experience:
- Minimum 7, preferably 10 years of relevant experience in early childhood development projects
Specific professional experience:
- Minimum 7 years experience in working on policy and legal framework for preschool education
- Experience in preparation and implementation of trainings for preschool professionals
