Forty-five employees in Vienna and four hundred experts in the field working towards European administrative reforms, smoother bureaucratic processes, improved public services, and simplified tax systems in fifty countries: for this endeavour, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce yesterday evening awarded Human Dynamics the Export Prize 2011 in the category of Information and Consulting.

Hulla & Co Human Dynamics KG stands for twenty years of experience in process management for the public sector, serving ministries and administrations in Eastern and South Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The Vienna-based firm's 45 in-house staff and 400 external experts are currently working on projects such as energy security in the Ukraine, access to preventative medical check-ups in Serbia, and simplifying Macedonia's legislative process. Since earlier this year, Human Dynamics is also supporting the second phase of the Euro-Arab Mashreq Gas Market project, supporting the integration of European and Middle Eastern natural gas markets.

Innovation through experience Human Dynamics works primarily for the European Union. From 2007 to 2010, the Austrian company led the global league table of EuropeAid contractors.

Human Dynamics' Executive Partner, Bernhard Hulla, puts the firm's success down to the expertise and dynamism of his team, “To date, we have successfully implemented over one hundred EU-funded projects across the globe. As such, we have built up a level of know-how that is unique. At the same time, we see it as imperative to approach each and every reform project, however complex, in a resource-efficient and innovative way. With a pool of experience such as ours, it's possible to be innovative and relieve public budgets.”

A key to Human Dynamics' success is its exacting internal project and cost management: “We frequently achieve project aims with just 90 per cent of the client's projected budget” says Mr. Hulla. “That's the basis for our reputation of offering “best value for money”.”

With this strategy, the company achieved a turnover of more than EUR 21 million in 2010. In 2011, Mr. Hulla expects a further increase.

“We live diversity”

While diversity is today often used as a buzzword, it is a daily reality at Human Dynamics. “We're a multi-national team, in which everybody has the best opportunities. We enjoy working and being productive together, and learning from one another” says Mr. Hulla. In Vienna, the company employs 45 managers and employees from ten countries. The proportion of women is 48 per cent.
