Senior Business Development Managers

Human Dynamics is a leading provider of premium consulting services for the European Commission and the World Bank in both developing and transition countries worldwide. With contracts currently being implemented in more than 30 countries, we assist Governments in improving the performance and delivery of their public services in line with international best practice approaches.
We work with and advise clients in the fields of Economics, Institution Building & Good Governance and Regulatory Affairs and are seeking dynamic professionals to join our Business Development Department in Vienna.

The following competences and abilities are of special value:

  • A (Masters) Degree from a top University in Economics, Law or International Relations;
  • 3-5  years experience bidding for EU/World Bank/DFID or other IFI service tenders;
  • Knowledge of transitional/developing economies and interest in development economics tendencies globally;
  • Management, coordination and supervision of the work of junior staff;
  • Proactive and leadership experience, combined with very good diplomacy and assertive skills;
  • Commercial acumen;
  • Good communication and negotiaion skills with interlocutors from both the private and public sector;
  • Strong analytical, planning, assessment and reporting skills;
  • High accuracy and attention to details;
  • Creative and associative thinking;
  • Trouble-shooting skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • Adaptable in working in a multicultural environment as well as a strong teamplayer;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English are a must, while fluency in written and spoken French/Spanish/Portuguese will be an additional asset;
  • IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office.

You will be intensely involved in the selection and decision-making process on new business opportunities worldwide, managing international service tenders by negotiating and forming business partnerships, drafting technically compelling proposals, and building up expert teams. In a dynamic professional environment, you will have challenging assignments, including various field missions in target countries and you will have the responsibility to manage, coordinate and monitor the work of Junior Business Development Managers.  With your initiative and  financial acumen you will be able to deliver commercial results and create business in existing and new markets.

Project Managers

Human Dynamics is a leading European provider of premium development economics consulting services for the European Commission and the World Bank in both developing and transition countries world wide. With contracts currently under management exceeding 50M EUR, we assist governments in improving the performance and delivery of public services through the provision of high quality consultancy in line with international best practice approaches.
We work with, and advise clients in the fields of Economics, Regulatory Affairs and Institution Building & Good Governance and are seeking experienced IFI Project Managers to join our Project Implementation Department in Vienna delivering multi-year economics/public administration reform projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, monitoring and managing work programmes and operational project teams
  • Managing the implementation of projects to the highest standard within fixed time and cost budgets
  • Co-ordinating with clients and project beneficiaries

You will have:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years work experience in managing EC and World Bank funded projects in CEE and CIS
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills; other local languages highly desirable
  • Resourcefulness
  • Client orientation
  • Strong conceptual, analytical & reporting skills
  • Outstanding track record of successfully completed projects
