APROLAB II – Expansion and Consolidation of the Professional Vocational Training System

Capacity-building work toward higher workforce competitiveness and quality

Within APROLAB II, Human Dynamics helped strengthen the competitiveness and quality of the workforce in Peru, to promote economic development and reduce poverty in the country. The implementation team provided technical assistance to the Director of the Project and to other key stakeholders. Through long- and short-term missions, we provided input to reorient vocational education toward market demands and socio-economic needs, and ultimately to aid development in Peru.

Through this project, the planning, monitoring and evaluation capacities of local authorities were created and strengthened; training was re-structured in 50 Technical Education & VET centres and new training curricula were developed; the management skills of the Directors of 50 Technical Education & VET centres were strengthened, and a new VET curriculum model was established; 50 Technical Education & VET centres were equipped with appropriate facilities; a fund for Micro-projects on Promotion of the Pedagogical and Technological Innovation was established; and a programme was established to increase the VET programme coverage to priority target groups (youth and women from rural areas).
