Corporate Social Responsibility Activities

Implicit in the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility is the term “responsible business”. That is, the belief that companies should act responsibly, beyond what the legal framework provides, and as a consequence should integrate economic, social and environmental concerns in their business operations and daily interactions with a view to expanding the corporate strategy beyond profit margins, product development and the coordination of services to include aspects relating to employees, the local and global society and the environment.

Human Dynamics is mindful of its corporate social responsibilities. It acknowledges that it should consider the interests of society as part of its business strategy, by taking responsibility for the impact of its activities on and improvement of the quality of life of its employees and their families, as well as for the local community and society at large.

On a business level, Human Dynamics aims where possible to develop local capacity in the countries in which we work through the recruitment of project support staff and expertise from the community, where appropriate, with a view to developing expertise locally, promoting greater participation and ownership, and ensuring sustainable solutions that can and will be supported beyond project closure.

In the community, Human Dynamics has begun developing its CSR activities within several of the countries in which we do business by providing cash or in-kind donations to some of the local community institutions (schools, hospitals, not for profit organisations etc) and by sponsoring local fundraising events.

Over the years Human Dynamics has provided sponsorship to the Hash House Harriers in Georgia, Kosovo and Macedonia. We also provided financial assistance to a children’s cancer hospital in Kosovo to allow them to purchase equipment and in Romania, clothing and equipment was provided to a school supporting the Roma communities. Further, Human Dynamics provides support to charities supporting victim families from the impact of the Tsunami in Indonesia as well organisations fighting racism and protecting human rights.
